Ultra-Luxury Home Theater

This high performance home cinema is unique in many ways.

Firstly it is located on the main floor of the home and occupies an entire wing of the home. PAC planned and executed virtually every aspect of the room designs and build. This room is completely acoustically treated. Included are all wall and ceiling surfaces. The ceiling acoustic panels and fabric hide 10 flush mounted Dolby Atmos speakers that create the 3 dimensional sound field that Dolby atmos is capable of delivering. The seating plan includes three platforms with seating for 14 lucky film enthusiasts.

The video image is provided by a high performance Sony laser projector. The projector drops out of the ceiling when it is showtime. The video screen automatically changes shape to present the movie being viewed in the proper aspect ratio (shape). The movie selection is stored in a massive media hard drive system, called Kaleidescape. The 5000 movie collection is the highest quality uncompressed 4K, HDR, resolution, which is significantly superior.

The sound to match this awesome video presentation is reproduced by a combination of McIntosh electronics and Sonus Faber speakers. Each of the 7 speakers located on the stage and on the walls has its own McIntosh power amp driving it. The two Gravitas 6 subwoofers located on the stage have their own 1000 watt amp built in. The Italian designed and built Sonus Faber speakers are quite suitable for both movie soundtracks and all types of music. The owner can choose between uncompressed music streams from Tidal or SACD and CD music played over the McIntosh SACD/CD transport. All of this sonic performance is perfected by the Digital Room Correction system that is part of the McIntosh MX170 surround processor. All of the audio and video cabling was carefully selected and curated to provide uncompromised performance levels. Clarus cable was selected as the optimum product for the cabling that these components require.

This room evolved to its current grandeur over the course of several years and system updates. And best of all the owner uses it almost everyday!
